He recognized a critical gap: while employees deeply crave strong, inspiring leaders, many organizations have yet to fully answer that call. Leveraging his expertise in talent acquisition, leadership development, and organizational learning from roles at Smithfield Foods and in higher education, Clarence is dedicated to empowering businesses to cultivate the robust leadership essential for fostering thriving cultures and achieving sustainable success.

Linda Manning, Ph.D.

Dr. Linda D. Manning brings over three decades of teaching, research, and leadership expertise to Cavalier Consulting & Leadership. As the founding Director of the Center for Sustainability in Education at Christopher Newport University and an Associate Professor of Communication, she is dedicated to fostering thriving organizations through clear communication, intentional leadership, and inclusive practices.
Specializing in connecting values to leadership goals, Dr. Manning helps clients integrate sustainability and equity into their strategic planning and organizational culture. At CCL, she provides one-on-one mentorship, team development, leadership training, and culture analysis, guiding individuals and teams to discover purpose and become more effective, authentic leaders through empathy, clarity, and collaborative dialogue.

Melissa Scott, Ph.D.

With over two decades of experience in event planning, management, and strategic planning, Dr. Scott has a proven track record of creating outcome-based initiatives and assessing projects to ensure best practices.
